Many times, while browsing in internet many users come across something like this page not found. You check your internet connection and go through all the linking cables but you get all of them to be okay. Then this condition goes to irritate you and you decide to get some help from Helpline Service, this takes so much time.
The problem is in your computer’s Internet protocol address or IP address. IP address is the way for identifying users on internet through their system. When you come through this problem of “Page Not Found” error, this means that there is some problem related to your computer’s IP address and probably it might have been banned. In this situation you have to change your computer’s IP address and this may solve your problem. This method is very simple and easy. You can also Command prompt for doing this. You have to follow the steps given below.
For Windows Vista or Windows 7 users:
• Go to “Start”. Type ‘cmd’ in Search bar.
• Click ‘cmd’. It will open a Command Prompt Window.
• In this window, type ‘ipconfig/release’ and press “Enter”. At this point, computer’s IP address must be 0.0.0.0.
• Type ‘ipconfig/renew’ and press “Enter” again. Your computer will get a new set of IP addresses.
• Close the window by typing ‘exit’ and pressing “Enter”.
For Windows Xp user:
• Got to Start Menu.
• Click “Run” on menu.
• Type ‘cmd’ in the box (without quote) and press OK.
• A Command Prompt Window will pop up, resembling DOS operating system. Type ‘ipconfig’ (without the quotes). This will show your computer’s current IP address.
• Type ‘ipconfig/release’ and press “Enter”. This will release your computer’s current IP address.
• Type ‘ipconfig/renew’ and press “Enter”. Now your computer will be assigned a new IP address.
• Type ‘exit’ and press “Enter”. This will close the window. And now your computer has got the new IP address.
Hope after changing the IP address you will solve your problem. If there is still a problem, then turn off your router. And after 2-3 minutes turn it on and repeat the procedure. If these methods are unable to help you and connectivity problem remains unresolved, then go through Helpline service.
Changing your IP address is highly recommended if you have bought a used computer. It will give a whole new start to your computer’s connectivity. This type of connectivity problems mainly occurred when your computer is moved to a different location and this problem can also be resolved by this method.
